📖 Clase (60 min)
Un buen redactor en inglés nunca confunde "X happened" con "X is alleged to have happened".
I'm delighted," she said. / She said, "I'm delighted."
Regla 2 — Cita indirecta integrada. Tras la cita directa, conviene reformular en estilo indirecto para variar: "We will appeal," the lawyer said. He added that the verdict was unfair.
Regla 3 — Atribución con according to. According to the report/the police/sources,... (NUNCA according to me; para uno mismo se dice in my opinion).
Neutros: say, state, report, announce, confirm. Con matiz: claim (afirmar sin pruebas), allege (alegar), admit, deny, insist, reveal, warn, urge. Elegir bien es ética periodística.
Regla 5 — Lenguaje de la alegación (cobertura legal). allegedly (presuntamente), reportedly (según se informa), is said/believed/thought to + infinitivo, is alleged to have + participio: The suspect is alleged to have stolen the money.
- Se omiten artículos y be: Minister (is) under pressure.
- Presente simple = pasado: PLANE CRASHES IN ALPS (= crashed).
- to + infinitivo = futuro: PM TO VISIT CHINA (= will visit).
- -ing = algo en curso; participio = pasiva: FACTORY CLOSING, 3 ARRESTED.
- Verbos cortos y dramáticos: bid (intento), vow (jurar), slam (criticar), axe (recortar), quit (dimitir), hike (subir), probe (investigación).
Regla 7 — Estructura de pirámide invertida. Lo más importante primero (las 5 W: who, what, when, where, why), luego detalles, luego contexto. La primera frase (lead) resume la noticia.
