- Prepararás el proyecto de mañana con un texto modelo.
📖 Clase (60 min)
Introducción y contexto
Esta semana has aprendido las tres piezas del estilo indirecto: afirmaciones (She said she was tired), preguntas (He asked where I lived) y órdenes (She told me to wait). Hoy las juntamos en textos reales: reportar una conversación completa y reportar noticias. Esto es exactamente lo que harás en el proyecto de mañana, así que la clase de hoy es tu modelo y tu ensayo general.
Reportar bien un diálogo no es traducir frase por frase: es resumir y enlazar con buenos verbos introductorios y conectores temporales (then, after that, finally). El periodismo usa el estilo indirecto constantemente: "The president said that the economy would improve", "Officials confirmed that the airport had reopened". Dominar esto te abre la puerta a entender prensa y noticias en inglés.
Explicación detallada (regla por regla)
Regla 1 — Reportar un diálogo: estructura narrativa. No reportes cada línea aislada; encadena con conectores:
- First, she said that... / Then he asked if... / She replied that... / Finally, he told her to...
Verbos de respuesta útiles: replied (respondió), answered (contestó), added (añadió), agreed (estuvo de acuerdo), refused (se negó).
Regla 2 — Variar verbos introductorios (estilo). Mira la diferencia:
- Pobre: He said... She said... He said... She said...
- Rico: He explained... She asked... He admitted... She suggested... He promised...
Elige el verbo según la función del enunciado (informar, preguntar, prometer, quejarse, sugerir).
Regla 3 — Lenguaje de noticias (reported speech en prensa). En prensa, el verbo introductorio suele ir en pasado y se aplica backshift:
- "The economy will grow." → The minister said that the economy would grow.
- "We have signed the deal." → The company confirmed that it had signed the deal.
- "Prices are falling." → Experts reported that prices were falling.
Verbos de prensa frecuentes: announce, confirm, deny, report, claim, state, reveal, warn.
Regla 4 — that en registro formal. En prensa y textos formales, that normalmente se mantiene (no se omite): The spokesperson stated that the project would continue.

Pronunciación y notas de uso
- replied /rɪˈplaɪd/ — -ied suena /aɪd/.
- announced /əˈnaʊnst/ — -ced = /st/.
- according to — frase fija; according /əˈkɔːdɪŋ/, sin "g" fuerte al final.
Errores comunes del hispanohablante
- ✗ He said me that he agreed. → ✓ He told me that he agreed. / He said that he agreed.
- ✗ The minister said that the economy will grow. → ✓ ...would grow. (backshift)

Original conversation: Mark: "I've lost my keys. Have you seen them?" Lisa: "No, but don't worry — I'll help you look." Mark: "Thanks. Where did you put them last night?"
Reported version: Mark told Lisa that he had lost his keys and asked her if she had seen them. Lisa replied that she hadn't, but she reassured him and offered to help him look. Then Mark asked her where she had put them the night before.
