Introducción y contexto

Ayer formaste superlativos cortos (the biggest). Hoy completas el sistema con los adjetivos largos, que NO llevan -est: usan the most + adjetivo (igual lógica que more en el comparativo). También aprenderás su opuesto, the least (el/la menos), perfecto para matizar. Es el lenguaje de los récords, las listas "top 10", la publicidad y las recomendaciones de viaje: the most beautiful beach, the most expensive city, the most popular app. Y se construye exactamente sobre lo que ya sabes del comparativo largo.

Explicación detallada (regla por regla)

1. Adjetivos largos (2 sílabas sin -y, o 3+ sílabas) → the most + adjetivo.

• expensive → the most expensive: It's the most expensive restaurant in town.
• beautiful → the most beautiful: That's the most beautiful beach in the world.
• interesting → the most interesting, popular → the most popular, difficult → the most difficult, important → the most important, famous → the most famous.

2. ¡Nunca combines the most + -est!

• ✗ the most biggest / ✗ the most tallest / ✗ the most easiest
• ✓ the biggest / the tallest / the easiest (cortos) — ✓ the most modern (largos)

3. the least + adjetivo = "el/la menos ..." (opuesto de the most).

• This is the least expensive option. (la opción menos cara = la más barata)
• He is the least patient person I know.
• the least funciona con adjetivos de cualquier longitud: the least interesting, the least tall.

4. one of the + superlativo + plural = "uno/a de los/las más ...".

• It's one of the most popular cities in Europe.
• He's one of the best players in the team.
• ¡Ojo!: el sustantivo va en plural (one of the most popular cities).
