📖 Clase (60 min)
Casi toda frase en inglés empieza con uno: I work, She is happy, They are here.
| you | tú / usted / vosotros / ustedes | singular Y plural; formal e informal |
| he | él | personas masculinas |
| she | ella | personas femeninas |
| we | nosotros/as | yo + otra(s) persona(s) |
| they | ellos/as | personas, animales o cosas en plural |
Puntos importantes:
I siempre va en mayúscula. Incluso en mitad de la frase: Maria and I are friends. (María y yo somos amigos.) Nunca Maria and i.
You are my friend / You are my friends — la misma palabra you.
It es el más raro para nosotros. Se usa para:
- Cosas: The book is here. It is interesting. (El libro está aquí. Es interesante.)
- Animales (genéricos): Look at the dog. It is big.
- El clima: It is cold. (Hace frío.)
- La hora: It is three o'clock. (Son las tres.)
- En español no traducimos it normalmente: "Es interesante" (no decimos "ello es interesante").
He / She solo para personas (y a veces mascotas queridas). Las cosas NUNCA son he o she. ✗ The table, she is big → ✓ The table, it is big.
We = el grupo que te incluye a ti. They = un grupo que NO te incluye.
Vocabulario clave
| English | Pronunciación aprox. | Español |
|---|---|---|
| I | ái | yo |
| you | yú | tú/usted/vosotros |
| he | jí | él |
| she | shí | ella |
| it | it | eso/ello (cosas) |
| we | uí | nosotros/as |
| they | déi | ellos/as |
| pronoun | próu-naun | pronombre |
| subject | sáb-yekt | sujeto |
| man | man | hombre |
| woman | wú-man | mujer |
| friend | frend | amigo/a |
| people | pí-pol | gente/personas |
| boy | bói | niño/chico |
| girl | guérl | niña/chica |
| dog | dog | perro |
| cat | kat | gato |
| thing | zing | cosa |
Gramática a fondo
El sujeto es obligatorio. Compara:
| Español | Inglés correcto | Inglés incorrecto |
|---|---|---|
| Soy estudiante. | I am a student. | ✗ Am a student. |
| Está feliz. | He/She is happy. | ✗ Is happy. |
| Llueve. | It is raining. | ✗ Is raining. |
| Somos amigos. | We are friends. | ✗ Are friends. |
- John is here. → He is here. (John = he)
- Maria is my friend. → She is my friend. (Maria = she)
- The book is new. → It is new. (the book = it)
- John and Maria are here. → They are here. (dos personas = they)
- John and I are here. → We are here. (incluye "yo" = we)
Pronunciación y notas de uso
- he (jí, vocal larga) vs. she (shí, con sonido "sh" soplado). Practica: he – she – he – she.
- we (uí) vs. you (yú): no los confundas al hablar.
- it es corto y seco: "it". No "et".
Errores comunes del hispanohablante
- ✗ Is my friend. → ✓ He/She is my friend. (falta sujeto)
- ✗ me and Ana are friends / Ana and i → ✓ Ana and I are friends. (I mayúscula y al final)
- ✗ Usar he/she para cosas: The car, she is fast. → ✓ The car, it is fast.
- ✗ Omitir it con clima/hora: Is cold. → ✓ It is cold.
- ✗ Traducir you siempre como "tú" y dudar con grupos → recuerda: you también es "ustedes/vosotros".
