- Evitarás los errores típicos de infinitivo con/sin to del hispanohablante.
📖 Clase (60 min)
Introducción y contexto
Ayer aprendiste have something done (servicio).
- make somebody do = obligar (sin to).
- let somebody do = permitir (sin to).
- have somebody do = encargar/hacer que (sin to, más neutro).
- get somebody to do = persuadir/conseguir que (con to).
Explicación detallada (regla por regla)
Regla 1 — get + objeto + participio (servicio, igual que have pero informal/esfuerzo):
- I need to get my car fixed. → Tengo que llevar a arreglar el coche.
- She finally got her visa renewed. → Por fin consiguió renovar el visado.
*Regla 2 — make + persona + infinitivo SIN to (obligar/forzar):
- The teacher made us rewrite the essay. → El profesor nos hizo reescribir el ensayo.
- You can't make me apologise. → No puedes obligarme a disculparme.
- ⚠️ En pasiva make sí lleva to: We were made to wait.
*Regla 3 — let + persona + infinitivo SIN to (permitir):
- My parents let me stay out late. → Mis padres me dejan quedarme hasta tarde.
- They didn't let us enter. → No nos dejaron entrar.
- (En pasiva se usa be allowed to, no let.)
*Regla 4 — have + persona + infinitivo SIN to (encargar, neutro, autoridad):
- I'll have the technician call you. → Haré que el técnico te llame.
- The manager had us stay late. → El jefe hizo que nos quedáramos.
*Regla 5 — get + persona + infinitivo CON to (persuadir, conseguir que):
- I got him to help me. → Conseguí que me ayudara.
- How did you get her to agree? → ¿Cómo conseguiste que aceptara?
Regla 6 — get/have + persona + -ing (poner a alguien a hacer algo / lograr que esté haciendo):
- The comedian got everyone laughing. → El cómico hizo reír a todos.
- I'll have you speaking English fluently. → Conseguiré que hables inglés con fluidez.
