📖 Clase (60 min)
- Proyectos: set up, carry out, put off / push back, bring forward, call off, follow up on.
- Finanzas: cut back on, take on, lay off, break even, take over, write off.
- Reuniones: go over, bring up, point out, sum up, put forward, back up.
- Separabilidad: separables → pronombre en medio (set it up); inseparables → tras la partícula (go over it); 3 partes inseparables (follow up on it).
Síntesis Día 303 — Registro
- Phrasal (informal/neutro) vs. verbo latino (formal): set up/establish, find out/ascertain, ask for/request, deal with/handle.
- Marcadores: contracciones, get, kind of/stuff, voz pasiva/impersonal.
- Condicional de intercambio: If you + (su concesión), we'll/we'd + (tu concesión).
- provided that / as long as / on condition that; would/could dejan margen.
- Nunca conceder sin pedir; resistir sin cerrar (That would be difficult, but...).
- Falso amigo: compromise = acuerdo intermedio; "compromiso/obligación" = commitment.
Síntesis Día 305 — Estructurar una presentación
- 4 bloques: Opening (5 partes), Body (signposting + transiciones), Conclusion (resumen + takeaway + acción), Q&A.
- Signposting: Let's start with... / Moving on to... / This brings me to...
Síntesis Día 306 — Persuasión y Q&A
- Recursos: dato con marco, regla de tres, pregunta retórica, estructuras enfáticas (What we need is... / It is X that...).
- evidence es incontable. Q&A: ganar tiempo, parafrasear, estructurar, "no sé" digno, no defensividad.
