📖 Clase (60 min)
Los nativos dicen the film I saw (sin relativo) más que the film that I saw. Y dicen the person I work with (preposición al final) en habla normal, reservando the person with whom I work para textos formales.
- The book (that) I read was great. → El libro que leí era genial.
- The man (who/that) I met is nice. → El hombre que conocí es simpático.
- The film (which) we saw was long.
- ✓ The man who called me… ✗ The man called me… (cambia el sentido)
- ✓ The car which broke down…
- ✗ My boss, I admire, is leaving. → ✓ My boss, who(m) I admire, is leaving.
- Informal/natural: The person (who/that) I work with. · The house (which/that) I live in.
- Formal: The person with whom I work. · The house in which I live.
- Con preposición delante se usa whom (personas) o which (cosas), nunca that ni who: ✗ with that, ✗ with who.
Regla 5 — whom.
- whom = forma de objeto de who. Obligatorio tras preposición delante: to whom, with whom, for whom.
- En habla informal whom casi no se usa: the man (who/that) I spoke to.
Regla 6 — No dejes la preposición "huérfana" duplicada.
- ✗ The house in which I live in. → ✓ The house in which I live / The house (that) I live in.
- ✗ The man to whom I spoke to. → ✓ The man to whom I spoke / The man (who) I spoke to.

Pronunciación y notas de uso
- whom /huːm/.
- ✗ No omitir nunca: suena rígido. → ✓ The book I read (mejor que siempre that I read).
- ✗ The man that I spoke with him. → ✓ The man (that) I spoke with.
- ✗ The house in which I live in. → ✓ The house in which I live / The house I live in.
- ✗ with that / with who → ✓ with whom / with which (delante) o …that I work with (final).
- ✗ Omitir cuando es sujeto: The woman called me is my aunt. → ✓ The woman who called me is my aunt.

A: Who's the manager to whom you report? (¿Quién es el jefe al que reportas?) (formal) B: The woman (who) I talked to earlier. (La mujer con la que hablé antes.)
