📖 Clase (60 min)
Introducción y contexto
¡Día 200! Has llegado lejos. Hoy unimos lo de esta semana con lo de la anterior: la clave del éxito con condicionales no es la gramática en sí, sino elegir el correcto según lo que quieras decir. La misma idea cambia de sentido según el condicional:
- If I have time, I will call you. → Es posible que tenga tiempo (situación real).
- If I had time, I would call you. → No tengo tiempo / es poco probable (imaginario).
Esa diferencia comunica una actitud completamente distinta. Hoy aprenderás a leer el contexto y elegir bien, que es lo que de verdad evalúan los exámenes B1 y lo que te hará sonar preciso.
Explicación detallada (regla por regla)
Regla 1 — Pregúntate: ¿es real/probable o imaginario/improbable?
- Real o probable → PRIMER condicional: If + presente, will + inf.
- Imaginario, improbable o imposible ahora → SEGUNDO condicional: If + pasado, would + inf.
Regla 2 — Pares comparados (mismo tema, distinto sentido):

Regla 3 — A veces depende del hablante, no del mundo. Si crees que algo es probable, usas el primero; si lo ves lejano o solo lo imaginas, el segundo:
- If I get a pay rise, I will buy a car. (lo veo posible)
- If I got a huge pay rise, I would buy a sports car. (lo veo poco probable / sueño)
Regla 4 — No mezclar las dos mitades.
- ✗ If I have money, I would travel. (mezcla)
- ✓ If I have money, I will travel. (1º) o If I had money, I would travel. (2º)
Regla 5 — Señales de contexto. Palabras como one day, maybe, probably sugieren futuro real (1º). Expresiones como imagine, in a perfect world, if I were… sugieren hipótesis (2º).

Test rápido de elección: ¿Crees que la condición puede cumplirse pronto y de verdad? → 1º. ¿Es un "y si…" imaginario, un sueño o algo poco probable? → 2º.
Pronunciación y notas de uso
- Ojo al sonido del verbo: rain /reɪn/ (1º) vs. rained /reɪnd/ (2º) — la -d final marca el cambio de condicional al hablar.
- I'll /aɪl/ (1º) vs. I'd /aɪd/ (2º): un solo sonido los diferencia. Practícalos en pares.
- Entonación: el 2º condicional a menudo suena más "soñador", con énfasis en would.
Errores comunes del hispanohablante
- ✗ If I had money, I will travel. → ✓ If I had money, I would travel.
- ✗ If I have time, I would help. → ✓ If I have time, I will help.
- ✗ If I will see her, I tell her. → ✓ If I see her, I'll tell her.
- ✗ Usar 2º para algo realmente probable: If I studied tonight, I would pass tomorrow (si de verdad vas a estudiar → 1º: If I study tonight, I'll pass).
- ✗ Traducir literal "Si tendría" → ✗ If I would have → ✓ If I had.
