📖 Clase (60 min)
- happy → happier: I am happier than before. (Soy más feliz que antes.)
- easy → easier: This test is easier than the last one.
- busy → busier: Mondays are busier than Sundays.
- noisy → noisier, dirty → dirtier, pretty → prettier, funny → funnier, tidy → tidier.
- narrow → narrower, simple → simpler, quiet → quieter, clever → cleverer, gentle → gentler.
- modern → more modern, boring → more boring, careful → more careful, famous → more famous.
4. Graduar la comparación: ¿cuánta diferencia hay?
| Mucha diferencia | Poca diferencia |
|---|---|
| much + comp. | a bit / a little + comp. |
| a lot + comp. | slightly + comp. |
| far + comp. |
- This city is much bigger than mine. (mucho más grande)
- Today is a bit colder than yesterday. (un poco más frío)
- The new phone is far better than the old one. (muchísimo mejor)
- She is slightly older than her brother. (ligeramente mayor)

Gramática a fondo
Estructura con intensificador:
[Elemento 1] + verbo + (much / a bit / far / a lot) + adjetivo-er + than + [Elemento 2]
| Elemento 1 | verbo | intensificador | comparativo | than | Elemento 2 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| This phone | is | much | faster | than | mine |
| Today | is | a bit | colder | than | yesterday |
| Her room | is | far | tidier | than | mine |
Importante: much / a lot / far / a bit / slightly van antes del comparativo, nunca antes del adjetivo solo. ✗ much big → ✓ much bigger.
Tabla de decisión rápida para dos sílabas:
| Terminación | Regla | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| -y | y → i + er | happy → happier |
| -le | + r | simple → simpler |
| -er, -ow | + er | clever → cleverer / narrow → narrower |
| otras (-ing, -ous, -ful, -ern) | more | boring → more boring |
✓ much bigger.
- ✗ She is more happy than me. → ✓ She is happier than me. (termina en -y → -er)
- ✗ It is very better. → ✓ It is much better.
- ✗ This is much big than that. → ✓ This is much bigger than that.
- ✗ more easy → ✓ easier
- ✗ a bit more cheap → ✓ a bit cheaper
- ✗ The room is a little tidy than before. → ✓ The room is a little tidier than before.
