📖 Clase (60 min)

Introducción y contexto

En español usamos casi siempre "a" o "en" para el tiempo: "a las tres", "en julio", "el lunes". El inglés es más específico: usa tres preposiciones distintas según el tipo de momento — at, in, on. Elegir mal es uno de los errores más persistentes, así que hoy lo organizamos con reglas claras. Esto te permitirá hablar de tu horario semanal (el reto del Día 55).

Explicación detallada (regla por regla)

Regla 1 — at para horas y momentos puntuales:

• at 7 o'clock, at midday, at midnight, at night
• at lunchtime, at the weekend (inglés británico), at Christmas
• I get up at 6 o'clock. — Me levanto a las 6.

Regla 2 — in para periodos largos (meses, años, estaciones, partes del día):

• in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening
• in July, in 2025, in summer, in the 90s
• She studies in the evening. — Ella estudia por la noche.

Regla 3 — on para días y fechas concretas:

• on Monday, on Fridays, on my birthday
• on 5th May, on New Year's Day, on Monday morning
• We have class on Tuesdays. — Tenemos clase los martes.

Regla 4 — Sin preposición (¡importante!): con every, this, next, last, today, tomorrow, yesterday:

• ✓ I work every day. (NO ❌ in every day)
• ✓ See you next week. (NO ❌ on next week)
• ✓ I'll call you tomorrow. (NO ❌ at tomorrow)

Regla 5 — Excepción mixta: on Monday morning (día + parte del día → on), no in.

Regla 6 — Preguntas de tiempo:

• What time do you…? → pide la hora exacta. What time do you start work? — At 9.
• When do you…? → más general. When do you study? — In the evening / On Sundays.
