📖 Clase (60 min)

Introducción y contexto

Ya sabes nombrar objetos, contarlos y describir su color. El siguiente paso natural es decir dónde están. "El libro está en la mesa", "la mochila está debajo de la silla". Para eso necesitas dos cosas: la pregunta Where...? (¿dónde?) y las preposiciones de lugar. Usaremos el aula como escenario porque está llena de objetos en posiciones claras.

Explicación detallada

La pregunta Where

Where is the pen? → ¿Dónde está el bolígrafo? → It's on the desk.
Where are the books? → ¿Dónde están los libros? → They're on the shelf.

Forma contraída común: Where's = Where is. → Where's my bag? (El plural NO se contrae así: di Where are the keys?)

Diferencia clave in / on:

in = dentro (en un espacio cerrado): in the box, in the bag, in the room.
on = sobre una superficie, en contacto: on the table, on the wall, on the floor.

Recuerda usar el artículo the cuando hablas de un objeto concreto y conocido: the desk, the board. Y my/your para posesión: my pencil case is in my backpack.

Pronunciación y notas de uso

Where suena "uéer" (la wh es una u fuerte; la h no se pronuncia).
Where's → "uéers" (rápido).
behind → "bi-jáind" (acento en la 2ª sílaba).
between → "bi-tuíin" (acento en la 2ª sílaba).
in front of se dice fluido: "in-frán-tov".
on the table → la th con lengua entre los dientes: "on dhe téi-bol".
