📖 Clase (60 min)
1. Estructura de presentación (la regla "tell them ×3").
- Apertura: saluda, preséntate, da el objetivo y el mapa. "Good morning. I'm… Today I'll walk you through three key points. First… then… finally…"
- Cierre: resume, da la conclusión, call to action y abre preguntas.
2. Signposting language (frases-señal que guían al oyente).
- Empezar: Let's get started. / I'd like to begin by…
- Cambiar de punto: Moving on to… / Let's turn to… / This brings me to…
- Añadir: On top of that… / What's more…
- Dar un ejemplo: To illustrate this… / A case in point is…
- Referir a una diapositiva: As you can see on this slide… / If you look at the chart…
- Resumir: To sum up… / To recap… / The key takeaways are…
- Concluir: In conclusion… / Let me leave you with this thought…
3. Presentar datos y tendencias.
- Subir: rise, increase, climb, surge, soar (fuerte), grow steadily.
- Bajar: fall, decrease, decline, drop, plummet (fuerte).
- Estable: remain stable, level off, plateau, hold steady.
- Fluctuar: fluctuate, go up and down.
- Adverbios: sharply, dramatically, slightly, gradually, steadily.
- Estructura: Sales rose sharply, reaching 2M in Q3. / There was a sharp rise in sales.
4. Manejar preguntas (Q&A).
- Invitar: I'd be happy to take any questions now.
- Ganar tiempo: That's a great question. / Let me make sure I understand…
- No saber: I don't have that figure to hand, but I'll get back to you.
- Reformular para confirmar: So, if I understand correctly, you're asking…
- Aparcar: That's outside today's scope, but happy to discuss it afterwards.
5. Lenguaje de reuniones.
- Abrir: Shall we get started? / Let's go over the agenda.
- Dar la palabra: I'd like to hand over to… / Over to you, Ana.
- Hacer propuestas: I'd suggest that we… / How about we…? / Why don't we…?
- Pedir aclaración: Could you elaborate on that? / Just to clarify…
- Acuerdos/acciones: So, the action point is… / Let's circle back on this next week. / Let's table that for now.
- Cerrar: Let's wrap up. / To recap the action items…

| You must change this. | We might want to reconsider this. |

- data puede ser singular o plural: the data is/are clear (ambos aceptados; en negocios suele tratarse como incontable: the data is).
- handout (sustantivo) vs. hand out (verbo separable): I'll hand out the handouts.
- ✗ I will present my agenda. (cuando es tu plan personal) → ✓ I'll go over the agenda (orden del día) / my schedule.
- ✗ Actually, I work here since 2010. → ✓ Currently / At present, I work here. (actually = en realidad).
- ✗ I will explain you the results. → ✓ I'll explain the results to you.
- ✗ We need to assist to the meeting. → ✓ We need to attend the meeting. (assist = ayudar).
- ✗ Make a presentation about… (calco aceptable, pero) mejor ✓ give a presentation on…
- ✗ I resume my presentation (resumir) → ✓ I'll wrap up / sum up.
Mini-diálogo de ejemplo
Presenter: Good morning, everyone. Today I'll walk you through our Q3 results in three parts. Presenter: As you can see on this slide, sales soared in July before levelling off. Manager: Could you elaborate on the dip in August? Presenter: Great question. It was seasonal; I'll send the breakdown as a follow-up. (Buena pregunta. Fue estacional; enviaré el desglose como seguimiento.) Presenter: To recap, the key takeaway is steady year-on-year growth.
