Día 292 · Práctica integrada de los tiempos perfectos
⏱️ Duración total: ~3 h 15 min — Clase 60 min · Ejercicios 60 min · Reto 60 min · Quiz ~15 min.
- Ahora → present perfect (simple o continuo).
- Antes de otro punto pasado → past perfect (simple o continuo).
- ¿Me importa el resultado/cantidad o el proceso/duración?
- Resultado, "cuántos", acción completada → simple.
- Proceso, "cuánto tiempo", actividad en curso o reciente → continuo.
- ¿Es un verbo de estado (know, be, have=poseer, like...)?
| Presente | Pasado | |
|---|---|---|
| Simple (resultado) | have/has + part. — I've finished | had + part. — I had finished |
| Continuo (proceso) | have/has been + -ing — I've been working | had been + -ing — I had been working |
Explicación detallada (pares contrastados)
Par 1 — Presente, mismo verbo.
- I've cleaned* the house.* (resultado: está limpia).
- I've been cleaning* the house.* (proceso: llevo limpiando; quizá sin acabar).
Par 2 — Pasado, mismo verbo.
- By 10 a.m. she had answered all the emails. (resultado: todos contestados).
- By 10 a.m. she had been answering emails for two hours. (proceso/duración).
Par 3 — Cantidad vs. duración.
- He's read* five books this month.* (cantidad → simple).
- He's been reading* all month.* (duración → continuo).
Par 4 — Verbo de estado: solo simple.
- I've known* her since 2010.* ✓ / ✗ I've been knowing her...
- They'd had* that house for years before they sold it.* ✓
Par 5 — Narración encadenada (los cuatro tiempos juntos):
By the time I got the promotion, I had been working there for six years. I had completed dozens of projects, but I had been feeling undervalued. Since then, things have been changing — I've taken on* a new team and I**'ve been enjoying** it much more.*
Observa cómo conviven had been working (proceso pasado), had completed (resultado pasado), had been feeling (proceso/causa pasada), have been changing (cambio en marcha), have taken on (resultado presente), have been enjoying (proceso presente).

- 've / 's / 'd + been + -ing casi siempre contraído en habla real.
- ✗ I've been finishing the report (acción puntual completa) → ✓ I've finished the report.
- ✗ I've written for hours → ✓ I've been writing for hours.
- ✗ When I arrived they had been finishing dinner (si ya estaba terminada) → ✓ ...they had finished dinner.
- ✗ I've been knowing / I had been having (poseer) → ✓ I've known / I had had.
- ✗ Mezclar tiempo del marco: Yesterday I have worked... → ✓ Yesterday I worked / had been working...
