🎯 Objetivo del día

📖 Clase (60 min)

Donde un condicional sería largo (If I had studied, I would have passed), wish lo condensa: I wish I had studied.

Regla 1 — wish/if only + past perfect = arrepentimiento sobre el PASADO. Lo más relevante para esta semana.

Regla 2 — wish/if only + past simple = deseo sobre el PRESENTE (irreal ahora).

Regla 4 — wish + could/couldn't = capacidad deseada (presente o pasado según contexto):

Regla 5 — if only = wish pero más enfático/dramático. Mismas reglas de tiempo. Suele ir solo, como exclamación: If only I had known! También puede llevar resultado: If only I had known, I would have helped.

Regla 6 — Sin that y sin presente. wish no necesita that (opcional pero raro). Nunca presente para el deseo:

Regla 7 — hope vs. wish. hope = deseo posible/realista (futuro): I hope you pass. wish = deseo imposible/irreal: I wish I had passed. No los confundas:
