📖 Clase (60 min)

Introducción y contexto

Ayer aprendiste a afirmar con will. Hoy completas el sistema: la negativa y la interrogativa. Como will es un verbo modal (igual que can), la negación y la pregunta son muy fáciles: no necesitas do/does/did. Solo añades not o mueves will al principio. Lo único delicado es la pronunciación de won't, que los hispanohablantes confunden con want.

Explicación detallada

Negativa: will + not + verbo base. La contracción es won't.

I will not (won't) go. → No iré.
She won't help. → Ella no ayudará.
They won't come. → No vendrán.
It won't rain tomorrow. → No lloverá mañana.

Atención: won't sirve para todos los sujetos igual (I won't, he won't, they won't). La forma completa will not es más enfática o formal.

Preguntas Yes/No: mueve will al principio, antes del sujeto:

Will you help me? → ¿Me ayudarás?
Will she come? → ¿Ella vendrá?
Will it rain? → ¿Lloverá?

Respuestas cortas:

Yes, I will. / No, I won't.
Yes, she will. / No, she won't.

(Nunca Yes, I'll. — la afirmativa corta no se contrae.)

Preguntas WH: palabra interrogativa + will + sujeto + verbo:

What will you do? → ¿Qué harás?
Where will they live? → ¿Dónde vivirán?
When will she arrive? → ¿Cuándo llegará?
Who will help us? → ¿Quién nos ayudará?

Caso especial: cuando la palabra WH es el sujeto (who/what), no se repite el sujeto: Who will win? (¿Quién ganará?).

Pronunciación y notas de uso

won't = "uóunt" (vocal larga tipo "ou"), rima con don't.
want = "uánt" (vocal abierta). ¡No las confundas!
- I won't go = No iré. · I want to go = Quiero ir.
Will you...? en habla rápida suena "uílyu".

Errores comunes del hispanohablante

✗ I no will go. → la negación es will not / won't. ✓ I won't go.
✗ She won't to come. → won't no lleva to. ✓ She won't come.
✗ Do you will help me? → no se usa do con will. ✓ Will you help me?
✗ Yes, I'll. → afirmativa corta sin contracción. ✓ Yes, I will.
✗ I want go tomorrow. (queriendo decir "no iré") → confusión want/won't. ✓ I won't go tomorrow.
