📖 Clase (60 min)
1. La fórmula es fija: SUJETO + verbo to be + verbo principal con -ing.
be (am/is/are) + -ing
- I am eating. (Estoy comiendo.)
- She is reading. (Ella está leyendo.)
- They are playing.
2. ¿Qué be uso?
- I → am → I am working. (contraído: I'm working)
- He / She / It → is → He is working. (He's working)
- You / We / They → are → They are working. (They're working)
3. ¿Cuándo se usa el presente continuo?
- (a) Acción en este preciso momento: Be quiet — the baby is sleeping.
In the picture, a man is running.
4. Marcadores típicos que te avisan de que necesitas continuo: now, right now, at the moment, at present, today, this week, Look!, Listen!
- Look! It's raining. (¡Mira! Está lloviendo.)
- Listen! Someone is singing. (¡Escucha! Alguien está cantando.)

Gramática a fondo
Conjugación completa del presente continuo afirmativo (verbo work):
| Sujeto | be | -ing | Contraído |
|---|---|---|---|
| I | am | working | I'm working |
| You | are | working | You're working |
| He / She / It | is | working | He's / She's / It's working |
| We | are | working | We're working |
| They | are | working | They're working |
- Regla general: verbo + -ing → work → working, read → reading, play → playing.
- Las contracciones son lo normal: I'm reading, she's cooking, they're waiting. Suenan más naturales que la forma completa.
- am/is/are nunca desaparece. Es el error nº1: el inglés siempre necesita el verbo to be delante del -ing.
Errores comunes del hispanohablante
- ✗ I working now. → ✓ I am working now.
- ✗ She is work now. → ✓ She is work*ing now.* (Falta -ing.)
- ✗ They are play. → ✓ They are play*ing.*
- ✗ He is runing. → ✓ He is run*ning.* (Dobla la consonante.)
- ✗ I am writeing. → ✓ I am writ*ing.* (Quita la -e.)
- ✗ We are go to the park. → ✓ We are go*ing to the park.*
Mini-diálogo de ejemplo
A: Hi, where are you? It's noisy! B: I'm at the park. The kids are playing football. A: What are you doing? B: I'm sitting on a bench and I'm drinking a coffee. Listen — a man is playing the guitar! A: Nice. Is it raining there? B: No, the sun is shining. It's a beautiful day.
